Veterans Transition Program Grad Cliff H. Found the Brotherhood He Was Seeking Ever Since He Was 17
At the Veterans Transition Program, Cliff was welcomed with open arms

Your Aeroplan Miles have made a difference for Veterans like Cliff H.

After enduring a difficult and unstable childhood, Cliff was ready to move on. He joined the Military seeking the brotherly bond that he grew up seeing in war movies. But when he arrived at Basic Training, that fantasy quickly faded away. Bullying, both psychological and physical was common in Cliff's training unit. The men in charge of Cliff’s oversight encouraged this behavior and sometimes joined in themselves.

Shortly after leaving Basic Training for Technical Traning, Cliff was released. After his short stint in the Military, Cliff had a hard time identifying as a Veteran. Until one Remembrance Day at a ceremony, he was invited to join his fellow Vets. It was shortly after this that Cliff heard about the Veterans Transition Program.

By taking the Veterans Transition Program, Cliff was able to confront demons from his childhood and name them for what they are. He met people who really had his back and he was able to come to terms with his bad experiences during training by connecting with fellow participants. He has finally found a faithful band of brothers to carry him through.

Thank you for ensuring continued support for our Vets!
