How 100k Points Can Launch Real Stories Off the Ground
Until April 1, 2024, Aeroplan members can support critical filmmakers

From now until April 1, 2024, Aeroplan members can send critical filmmakers to Western Canada’s largest documentary festival. DOXA Documentary Film Festival aims high to collect 100,000 donated Aeroplan points.

Over the past 22 seasons, DOXA has presented over 1,500 films from 50+ countries, giving Vancouver audiences and beyond perspectives that are shaping our world today. This May, we want to keep launching real stories off the ground and flying high.

Many filmmakers operate independently and with limited resources. DOXA needs the help of supporters to give international filmmakers an opportunity to attend this year’s festival in Vancouver. In 2023, generous donors made it possible for us to host 32 artists, screening films to an audience of over 7,000 people, and carrying on to achieve accolades from film critics around the world.

98% of festival attendees agree that DOXA brings value to the art and culture community. Live Q&A sessions at DOXA festival allow movies to truly come to life. Filmmakers and audience members engage with each other to share history, reflect critically, and grow their dreams. Director talks are a hallmark feature of DOXA’s youth program, Rated Y for Youth, to build the next generation’s aspirations and media literacy.

We believe documentary filmmakers are cultural changemakers that deserve to have their stories told. When we bring filmmakers together at DOXA festival, we empower the global community to access big ideas and speak up through art.
