Apollinaire had to leave Burundi in 2017, her wife and their 3 children had to seek asylum in Uganda to be in security. As soon as Apollinaire has been granted asylum in Belgium, he began the family reunification procedure.

It was a real joy to see his family again after such a long time separation.
