SAFE SPORT. Sail Canada's Fundamental Values include Safety for All. Sail Canada is committed to the ongoing development of education and resources to create and protect the safe and respectful environments that all participants in sailing deserve. Sail Canada believes that everyone in the sport has the right to enjoy the sport at whatever level or position they participate. Athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers have the right to participate in a safe and inclusive training and competitive environment that is free of abuse, harassment or discrimination. We do this by offering Safe Sport Training, implementation of a Criminal Record Check & Screening Policy, Concussion protocol, and Responsible leadership resources including: ● Team Travel Policy ● Guide to Using the Rule of Two & Open and Observable Environments ● Sail Canada Safe Sport resource Package for reference by member Clubs and Sailing Schools, and for use by our Learning Facilitators.
