Sit With Me Rescue is a non profit, volunteer run rescue devoted to saving dogs in local shelters from euthanasia due to such issues as breed type, medical conditions and overcrowding. We are committed to providing every dog in our care with a lifetime of security, love and happiness.

We begin by placing each dog in a volunteer foster home. Since many of them have come from situations of neglect or abandonment, we focus on restoring them to sound physical and mental health.

We “sit with” them, observe them and get to know them. Then, with training and structure, guidance and proper care, they learn to become the best possible versions of themselves.

Our foster homes are the reason these dogs have an opportunity to become well-balanced dogs with a chance at a future in loving adoptive homes.

Our adoptive homes ultimately provide these fostered dogs with the secure and comfortable lives they so deserve.
